Just a quick heads-up. Every month, the Ulster County Musicians Network holds a mixer, where locals get to meet, raise a glass and generally have a good time – this month, it’s the Thanksgiving party version!
Jude DeFalco, who tirelessly admins these events, was kind enough to ask me if I’d like to perform. So I called on some very kind folks, who agreed to volunteer their time and talents and do sort of an MM cover band unplugged (well not really – just quieter) set for the evening:
Dennis “can play anything” Winge – Guitar
Jim “can play anything and look uber cool while doing it” Curtin – Bass
Joe “the power of God in two sticks” Scheibelhoffer – Drums
We’ll be playing the usual MM mix of Rock, Motown, Blues, etc – but we’ll also have some special guests sitting in to do some jazz, jazz-pop and whatever else the cat drags in. We’d all love it if you’d come along for the ride.
Whether or not you’re a musician doesn’t matter – all that’s required is that you love music. (Or beer, ’cause Keegan Ales, where the event is being held, has some absolutely amazing award-winning brews – made on-premises. And food, too.)
So if you’re free – come on down (or up)… it’ll be a great night, and we’d love to see you.
